In the year 2024, We, Chris & April Lewin (Wiarton, Ontario, Canada), Jesse LaClare (San Diego, USA) and Peter Kabanda Laston (Kampala City, Uganda) came together to start Honourable Measures Ministry, a mission dedicated to caring for orphans and needy children.

With a shared vision and deep commitment, we worked tirelessly to secure a home that would serve as a safe and loving orphanage. Our journey truly began when we welcomed our first two children, Eden and Philip, a boy and a girl who had been abandoned in Mulago hospital. They became the first orphans under our care. We took full responsibility for their well-being, while ensuring they received education, food, health care, clothing, and everything they needed to thrive.

In 2025, Chris, April, and Andrew traveled to Uganda to visit the orphanage and meet the children in person. During their stay, we ventured into several communities to witness firsthand the immense needs in these areas. One particular community, Buyende, stood out due to its high number of vulnerable children. From Buyende, we were able to take in seven more orphans, bringing the total number of children in our care to nine. Just recently, (April 2025) we picked up one last boy (James). So now totalling 10 all together.

Today, Honourable Measures Ministry continues to provide a nurturing and supportive environment, ensuring that these children grow up with love, stability, and hope for a brighter future.
